Feb 15, 2014 · Carrier Infinity 58MVC - system malfunction. Noticed our Infinity thermostat was showing 'system malfunction' today. Furnace still runs, but only in high stage now. Called our HVAC service person - he will be out on Monday to repair it. Thermostat displayed Code 33 - Limit fault (active) and Code 42 - Inducer fault. Check your thermostat - Double check that the system didn’t accidentally get set for cooling. Also check your fan control settings.
