This is the LE/MIL X-Macro. The civilian version will release on 2/21 and will come with 4-17rd mags. SKU: 365XCA-9-TACOPSX-Macros are essentially parameterized templates. So they are the right tool for the job if you need several similar things in several guises. They allow you to create an abstract form and instantiate it according to different rules. I use X-macros to output enum values as strings.
I opted for the Macro Tacops vs the Comp mainly cause I liked the idea of having the longer barrel and I heard the comp makes a only a minor difference. I also really liked the magwell and extended slide release that it came with but u can ultimately put it on any variant. Also it’s around $100 cheaper and comes with 4 x 17rd mags out the box. I shoot both equally well and do not feel the comp makes a huge difference. That may be unpopular but that's my personal experience. If I had it to do all over again, I'd probably buy the X-Macro Tacops or the X-Macro without the comp. There's no difference in length on those guns, one has a shorter barrel but the built in comp makes the slides the same size, so from a conceal ability standpoint it's a non issue. That extra .6in of barrel length isn't going to do anything substantial for muzzle velocities so I wouldn't use that in my decision making.
